Packaging: No problems with the packaging. The bottle is big enough to get a bunch of manicures out of the bottle. Instructions are clear and in several languages. Brushes are useful and functional.

Review:

I hate to say it, but this at home gel system is terrible. The idea is that you’re buying a gel polish that doesn’t require a light. It’s supposed to set within 5 minutes and not be dentable. After following the instructions, I learned the “activator” is super glue. Don’t touch it!! It doesn’t seem safe to use on nails. My nails weren’t fully dry for closer to an hour than 5 minutes. And they were chipped within an hour of being “dry” while under no pressure (I was just doing routine stuff, not car maintenance or dishes or anything). The polish didn’t apply very smoothly, it was a little gloopy so it didn’t even look that great when I was done. I’m usually pretty okay at painting my nails.

Other people have left similar reviews on Ulta’s website so I won’t go overboard but: overall, no, I would not purchase this and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Save your money.

Overall, I am so satisfied with what this company offers! The lashes are great quality, and can be re-used. The lipstick is packaged wonderfully– it’s one of a kind. The lipstick also goes on very smooth, & it’s creamy, moisturizing & definitely not drying to the lips! Rain Cosmetics offers a variety of matte or shimmer lip sticks. The foundation gives a flawless finish, & you don’t even need that much product to cover a full face! Absolutely loving the products this company has to offer!

These are the 4 palettes I’ll be featuring in this review!

Pictured above is the Fire Goddess Eye Palette (:

I absolutely adore the bright colors in this palettes– these are very interesting, & nothing like I’ve seen before. I’m loving the use of different colors in each pan– gives the eyeshadow a double effect. These are dry, not cream eyeshadows that blend beautifully! This palette is perfect for spring & summer time!

These are swatches for the Fire Goddess Palette (: I have not used a primer before swatching– however, the colors are not super pigmented for example, Sugarpill, but they have the perfect pigmentation for the spring & summer… when you want to wear light colors on the lid!

Again, these are dry eyeshadows, that blend effortlessly on your eyelids! Perfect for the spring & summer! Loving the pinks in this palette– and you can most definitely create day & night time looks with this palette!

These are not dry shadows– these are glitter bases! If you love glitter, these are most definitely for you!

These glitter shadows make a great, you can use them alone, or add shadows on top— you can always use these as liner too; just grab your favorite liner brush & apply!

this is definitely my favorite palette! beautiful colors!

the downside of these palettes is that it’s a pain to remove the glitter
it takes some patience & quite a bit of make-up remover!

**Overall, I do like the creativity that sets 2nd Love Cosmetics aside from other companies! The dry eye shadow are subtle & perfect if you’re not going for a super dramatic look! They wear well & stay on longer if you use a primer– but I’m sure most of us do, so that’s not much of a problem! All in all, they are comparable to NYX, slightly better, definitely give them a try!

PROS: pigmented, color variety, & so affordable!

CONS: hard to wipe off glitter!

Pros:

-light to medium coverage

Packaging: I love the slim tube this foundation arrives in. I decided to try this foundation as I wandered around Sephora looking for a cruelty-free foundation.

Review: I applied this to half my face, in shade 2.0 and fell in love. It was a great color match and did what I needed in a foundation: reduce redness, soften freckles and create a fresh glow. However, it was a new foundation, so it took several weeks of hunting to finally get it in my shade. I sparingly used up my sample and got my full size bottle. I apply with a domed synthetic brush or a MAC 188 after moisturizing. It applies beautifully and provides me with what I’d call medium coverage. I am a huge fan of this foundation and recently started just applying with fingers, to warm product before applying. I really like the coverage this gives, I find the brush can settle into dry patches. But also priming and moisturizing helps this foundation apply more smoothly.

Between this, Naked BB cream from Urban Decay and the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation, this tops the stack and is worth the price (I bought it myself, it wasn’t sent for review).

Overall, if you want a high end, medium coverage foundation that provides a glow, this is definitely worth the money.
