Why does it feel so oily when it’s “Oil free”?

An unassuming white and green bottle with a large opening on a flip top. For some reason, maybe it’s just my bottle, the lid does NOT remove. So no beauty spoon using when you get to the end of the bottle.

I was planning on trying this out as a daily moisturizer with SPF that I could wear without makeup or under foundation to help combat aging and keep it safe from my (limited) sun exposure. I planned to use it daily. This moisturizer can NOT be used during exercise. My face got this filmy oily layer that I could not get rid of, using the moisturizer alone on a moderate bike ride. It’s ok during a usual workday as long as your job doesn’t make you sweat (mine does). That film is a huge deterrent. Not a fan at all. Maybe there’s some other product that layering it with will fix. But I don’t wear makeup/primer/etc every day. This is too big of a project for me.

Overall, keep hunting for a drugstore moisturizer that feels hydrating and not oily.
