You Will Need
- 3 Round or square Styrofoams
- Glue
- Scissors
- Glitter of your choice
- Mod Podge (seal in loose glitter)
- Metal Stick or wooden stick
- Ribbon -Make sure its the right width
Steps:
- Lightly trace the smaller circles on the larger one.
- Create holes for your lipsticks. I prefer 3/4 inch to start. Home depot and art stores has a variety of options.
- Be careful not to break the foam. Glue it back together if needed. Avoid Hot Glue on Foam.
- Once done, puncture the hole completely and make sure you lift your foam up.
- Take a little extra time on the smallest circle. Dot around it to create your face pattern. Create different hole sizes for different products.
- Use an art foam stick to make holes it makes this part easy!
- Use your other hand to steady the foam.
- Using a paper plate add mod Podge. This will thicken the paint, fill in holes and dilute it so you use less paint. But totally optional.
- Next take a water based or foam safe paint and add to the mix.
- Pour in some glitter. There will be other glitter options later.
- Fold and mix everything in the begin to and paint.
- You can use foam on a stick but I prefer a brush.
- Use a stippling motion to get the paint into the crevices of the foam.
- Moving on to the next circle. Only paint the outer edge to save time and paint.
- Option 2 for glitter: Use a glitter paint. This will give you a subtle glitter finish.
- Option 3 for glitter : Pour and sprinkle loose glitter onto wet paint. Place a sheet of paper to catch the loose glitter.
- Hate glitter fall out? Paint on Mod Podge over the glitter. Use the gloss finish for a glossy finish.
- Let everything dry over night.
- Size and match ribbon to edges of the styrofoam.
- Glue ribbon down.
- Over lap and glue edge.
- Create a bow to add a little girllyness. Hot Gluing ribbon works best.
- Glue bow to stand with fabric glue.
- Glue down circles together using Mod Podge or any foam safe glue.
- Let everything dry completely before use.
