Packaging:
Can’t get any better than NARS. They have it down to a science. Soft, fancy feel. Basic palette. They will get my vote every single time. I also really like how the lipstick clicks down into place at the bottom of the tube so you know it’s retracted fully and isn’t going anywhere. For such an investment, I want to know it’s secure and not going to accidentally get spun up in my handbag in a messy mash of fail.
Review:
This is a really great lipstick. It’s a bit pricey (I’m used to MAC which runs around $14-16, I believe) so $25 feels exorbitant. But this lipstick performs really well. I wore it out to a party and it lasted through a few hours (and drinks!) without issue. I love the deep berry shade and even as it fades, it looks like a nice berry stain. I’m a huge fan of this. It’s matte, so don’t expect moisture from this lip stick. But it felt nice on my lips (not overly drying) and lasted through the party without reapplication.
Overall, I’d definitely pick up other colors from this line. And Amsterdam is going into my fall/winter rotation.
