Crabtree and Evelyn Black Sea Mud and Seaweed Soap

This soap comes in an absolutely beautiful box.  Without even opening it you can smell how amazing it is.  It does however come off as a bit masculine just out of the box.  You can smell a strong musk, fresh, manly smell.
The Crabtree and Evelyn website describes the soap as “gentle, vegetable-base soap enriched with purifying sea silt and conditioning red and brown algae, shea butter, cocoa butter, and coconut with evening primrose oils.”  They say the fragrance is “a medley of fresh sea air, classic marine notes, a splash of citrus, and a woody accord featuring cedarwood”

When I washed with this soap it seemed to lose most of the scent you smelled out of the package.  it left you with a fresh and clean smell.  It doesn’t have a sweetness that most bar soaps leave you with.  It would be perfect for man or woman.

After my skin dried it smelled like a soft musk with sweet vanilla and lavender very lightly.

My skin felt so soft and silky.  It has a smooth texture when you are washing with it, not grainy or rough.  It has good lather and coverage.  Once it dries you don’t feel dry but yet you feel clean with no residue.

It seems to have clarifying properties and doesn’t break my skin out at all.

Overall I feel that this soap is wonderful.  I loved how it made my skin feel and how I smelt after using it.  Even men love this soap.  It is just great all around!
