Beauty Essentials for the morning after a night out! Here are just a few amazing products to cover up any dark circles and splotchy skin and make your skin glowing again!
Product: L’Oreal Paris Studio Secrets anti dull skin primer
Price: $12.99
Where to buy: http://www.lorealparisusa.com/_us/_en/default.aspx#/?/
Pros: Smooth application, color variety
Cons: Color wasn’t right for my skin tone, made it a little too orange
Packaging: I loved the pump applicator so there’s no mess. It’s also easy to travel with.
Product Review: This is a great primer to even out blotches and uneven skin tone. I love to use it after cleansing and moisturizing my face prior to foundation or tinted moisturizer. The application is extremely smooth and I love that it comes in three different colors: anti-dull skin (light), anti-dull skin (medium) and anti-redness.
Overall: Overall I really like this primer, I just think the anti-redness one would have been a better fit for me but it was still a really nice consistency.
Product: Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer
Price: $32
Pros: Love that it’s lightweight but still imparts a bit of shimmer to make your skin radiant! SPF 20 factor is great benefit.
Cons: None!
Packaging: Convenient travel-ready tube
Product Review: This is the perfect tinted moisturizer for someone who doesn’t like foundation and just wants to add a little glow. It has micro-fine light diffusing pigments and the color is very subtle to just add a slight natural shimmer – nothing too drastic. It’s so lightweight, you barely even notice you’re wearing any makeup at all! I also love that it has an SPF factor. It’s also really nice to rub on shoulders and the collarbone.
Overall: This is a great illuminator that doubles as a moisturizer. I love when you get two-in-one beauty products, especially when you don’t feel like putting a lot of products on.
Product: MAC Prep & Prime
Price: $23
Where to buy: http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/shaded/160/15746/PrepPrime-Highlighter/index.tmpl
Pros: Hides dark circles and great for brightening and priming the under eye area
Cons: A little goes a long way – just don’t click the pen too much or else too much product will come out!
Packaging: I love the “pen” like applicator that you click on and brush under the eye.
Product Review: Perfect for those who want to hide those unsightly under-eye dark circles, MAC prep and prime does the job. After I apply, I lightly dab the area to blend in. It’s a fantastic alternative to an under eye concealer. It covers any flaws and really blends right into your skin.
Overall: This should be a staple in everyone’s makeup bag. It’s a quick fix for dark circles undereye!
Product: Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in Pink Silk
Price: $20
Where to buy: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P270568&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=5644
Pros: Neutral, everyday color that is very wearable.
Cons: May be a little too light for some complexions
Packaging: Pretty packaging – sleek black case.
Product Review: A great everyday eyeshadow that goes on sheer and gives a light wash of pink. It stays put all day and comes off easily with eye makeup remover. I also like that the actual palette for the shadow is quite large so you can easily use a large shadow brush for liberal application
Overall: I really like the texture of this product. It’s not chalky at all and doesn’t look too “pink.” It’s also a great base/highlighter for under the brow bone and then you can apply liner and contour shadow on top.
Product: YBF automatic eyebrow pencil
Price: $20
Where to buy: http://www.ybfgirlfriends.com/ybf-best-eyebrow-pencil
Pros: Color is suitable for most skintones, matched perfectly with my brows
Cons: the texture was a little waxy / didn’t glide on too smoothly but it was very easy to use and worked well.
Packaging: I like the automatic sharpener. Also, the fact that the packaging was red made it easy to find in my makeup case!
Product Review: I have never actually tried a brow pencil before so I was a little hesitant – I don’t usually do too much to my brows except for tweezing. It’s extremely foolproof and nicely filled in my brows without making them too dark or noticeable.
Overall: This is a really nice product for when you want to fill in brows just a touch while still making them look natural.
Product: Face Stockholm blush-on in Sun Kissed
Price: $20
Where to buy: http://www.facestockholm.com/default.asp?404;http://facestockholm.com:80/core/PRODDisp/?ProdId=19
Pros: I really liked this color – it’s kind of like a mix between blush and bronzer
Cons: none!
Packaging: Love the mirror inside the packaging. It fits my blush brush really nicely.
Product Review: I can’t say enough good things about this blush! It’s very versatile and blends perfectly with a variety of light to medium skin tones. It adds a really nice rose/golden glow to the complexion and goes on evenly.
Overall: Great product – highly recommend this!
