Lime Crime Carousel Gloss Review and Swatches (Pic Heavy)
Written by Elessa, Posted in Lime Crime, Product Review, Swatches
Carousel Gloss boasts semi-opaque coverage combined with bursts of nebulesque sparkle that comes alive in indoor lighting. Cruelty-free/vegan formula glides on smoothly on bare lips or over your favorite lipstick. Each gloss arrives in a sumptuous purple foil box resembling an antique merry-go-round — the ultimate gift (or indulgence) for those seeking a little luxury in their makeup bag. But hurry: this collection melts away with winter’s last snow…

Price $65 for the set or $17 each
- Pigmented
- Unique Shades
- Works alone and with lipstick
- Soft vanilla scent?? Or bubble gum. It starts off strong and fades
- Limited edition
- If you experience feathering with other glosses you might get it with this
- The brush is extremely short and makes application difficult. Use your own lip brush for best results
- Some colors are a bit streaky and patchy (see below for deets)
- Sticky and goopy. But its very pigmented so I guess it has to be that way
- Candy Apple
- Cherry on Top
- Kaleidoscope
Color breakdown
- Candy Apple- Sexy true blue red. Long lasting. Perfect for those bright lip days.
- Cherry on Top- Pinkiss red
- Kaleidoscope – Blueish purple. This one is patchy and doesn’t last as long on the lips
- Loop De Loop- Fun deep blue If you want this to mix in with your other glosses its a great way to get the appearance of whiter teeth
- Golden Ticket- Golden gloss. Smooth coloring but sort of patchy on the lips. It looks best when applied in a sheer manner. If you have pigmented lips put on either a complementing lipstick or a contrasting one then apply this to the pout.
Cutest packaging in the world !!!! I would pick up Candy Apple for its rich redness. But its not an everyday gloss as you may have to look in the mirror a lot to make sure that it is not smearing on the face or go sheer. If you don’t touch your lips then you should be ok. I love the color just make sure you smear on a little bit not glob it on. Best worn in a build-able manner. Don’t glob it on.. layer it for best results
Check out the middle of the video. I have Candy Apple on<3

Candy Apple looks really good on you in the video..Did you wear it on your bare lips or did you put it over a lipstick?
I used that one alone. candy apple is something you can wear on it’s own for sure. I will update that above with details. Thank you!!
Lime Crime always have cute packaging. The glosses does look very opaque. A little pricey.. probably not my thing personally. I don’t wear glosses all that much. But I have to say the color Kaleidoscope Glitter should be an eye shadow! It would be BEAUTIFUL!
I totally agree Xoun!!
I love the packaging too! Its super cute but I don’t think that they’re for me
the red is gorgeous on you
they are a little to bold for me ><.. nonetheless they are beautiful and very pigmented ! they remind me of redvines lol.. the design of the bottle.
I am not a fan of shimmery l/g but the Cherry on Top is a pretty color.
