Top 5 Tips To Happiness
Written by Elessa, Posted in Vlog
Day after day I am bulled, verbally abused and called names but I have managed to keep my spirits up. I often wonder why would anyone put themselves out there only to be beaten down by the evils of cyber bullying. Well I will tell you why I continue to do what I do. Because I love it. I love helping other and I love going to bed at night knowing that I have literally dedicated a big part of my life to helping others. Even though it appears that my site and videos are purely superficial beauty topics with an occasional splash of relationship advice I know I am helping someone out there. You gotta remember that there are days when you are feeling down and there are days when you are feeling good. So like the old saying goes.. make lemonade out of those lemons!
1.When you are feeling sad, step back and imagine good and happy times. When you are able to emerge your emotions to that happy place your body will follow. Even a temporary state of happiness will bring you closer to the happier side.
2. Surround yourself with positive people. Having a positive influence around you will truly help you feel that same attraction. When you are around negativity it will also bring you down. If you are alone watch happy good movies that will bring up your spirits. Even if its 2 hours of smiles times it is 2 hours less of sad times. Also it helps to see that even in happy movies sad things happen. Its a part of life that we all learn to cope with. Take it in slowly and process as you can. You are only human so don’t expect you to be a super hero.
3. Watch children and their actions. Have you ever seen children sad? It is a temporary state that quickly goes away. Children have mastered the art of happiness and innocence. Sometimes as adults we need to let go and just be free. It will help you live a lot longer
4. Find hobbies and therapeutic activities. I hear that exercise is one of the greatest ways to be a happier person. With modern technology and different work out methods you are bound to find something you love. When you are working out your body releases natural happiness, warm fuzzy feelings inside. Also after the work out your body is usually too pooped to think about anything else. Then in addition to feeling good you look good! I personally am still trying to find my fave workout.
5) Focus on what you love and not being happy. After you do what you love the happiness comes naturally. My biggest paper in college was about finding happiness and I learned that only when you do the things you love is when you will find happiness. By focusing solely on being happy you lose sight of what it takes to get you there.

It is true. Watching my nephew play always makes my day brighter. He’s the only one who can keep a smile on my face <3
By far I love this post. Normally if I’m going through a tough time I would take a deep breathe and count from one to five backwards. It helps a great deal. I also strongly believe that surrounding yourself with positive people gives you that confidence boost. I applaud Elessa for this post because you are indeed helping some one. Keep up the great work<3
Even though there are cyber haters and bullies out there, there are also a ton of people who adore you !! (me = one of them!!!) A little tip I share is that whenever I feel really down and beaten, I buy something for myself, even if it is a little thing. It makes me feel a little more special. Regarding workout, have you tried Zumba ?? It’s so much fun !!! xxxx
I personally enjoy the posts they always inspire me to try new things. When im feeling down i like to put on my favorite upbeat music and doll myself up. It helps me feel a little better when I have done my makeup and hair. I appreciate the tutorial videos. Keep up the Great WORK!!!
I enjoyed this post and thanks
I’m sorry people bully you
I’m sorry for everyone that is being bullied & treated like garbage. I’ve never been bullied nor have I bullied anyone. I don’t know people that bully people. I don’t have friends like this. Actually, I’m my own bully. I cut myself down. I don’t think I’m good enough for anything or anyone. This is how my mind works.
This site may seem pretty superficial at first glance, but it has helped me become more self-confident in so many different ways. Thank you Elessa for all your advise
