Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics – Tinted Moisturizer Review and Swatches
Where to Buy: Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Online
Pros: Coverage & Adjustable shade range
Cons: May not be suitable for all skin types and Not Long wearing
Packaging: It is a plastic squeeze bottle. The bottle looks similar to what their foundations come in. It is 1 fl. oz, which is typical for any foundation or tinted moisturizer. The colors are broken up into Yellow and Red Bases. There are 6(six) shade ranges for both yellow and red bases. You are encouraged to mix and matching the colors to customize your personal shade. I am not too happy with the packaging because there is a lot of product that gathers in the lid of the bottle and some gets stuck in the nozzle. I would not recommend traveling with the whole bottle in fear of it exploding. * Color shown in picture is Y5.
Review: I was really excited to finally try something from OCC. I was given the Y5 shade. This shade is from the Yellow base category from this product. When I first opened the product a little too much came out of the bottle. The shade is a wee bit to dark for me but since it is summer I am a little darker now than I was a few days ago. I wish I hade maybe Y4 to mix with Y5 to create that perfect color. The feel of the tinted moisturizer is a little on the heavy side for me, but the payoff is really good. It seemed to cover but not acted like a full foundation. I did get a lot of compliments about how my skin and makeup looked flawless. That is what I like to hear. Through out the day I started to notice that I would get a little shinny. The first couple of times I did not set with powder because I wanted to see how long it would last. I felt by the 4th or 5th hour I was feeling a little too “Dewy”.
Overall: This is a product you should try but only if you are skilled in eye balling the correct colors you should mix. I would not travel with it because of the packaging and if you are oily be sure to set with powder to make it last a little longer. I think this would be a great product for starting a make up kit.
