Illamasqua Introduces Theatre of the Nameless Fall/Winter 2011 Collection

This month, 2 year old British makeup brand Illamasqua introduces the “Theatre of the Nameless” Fall/Winter 2011 collection for eyes, lips, nails and face.
Inspired by the “essence of self expression that transformed 1920’s Berlin,” this collection returns back to the brand’s heritage of modern dark tones incorporating shocks of iridescence. The colors are rich and opulent and described by Kim Anderson, the brand’s Education Specialist, as “dirty cabaret.”
As Illamasqua’s lead US makeup artist Andrea Helgadottir demonstrated, it’s really easy to go from a daytime look to evening with the addition of some precisely placed Precision Ink, Pure Pigment and Masquara. Below are her daytime and evening looks (note: the lighting was really dark so I captured the look as best as possible):
And now, onto the makeup! I’ve just chosen a few of my favorites to discuss but the Theatre of the Nameless collection includes:
- Pure Pigment ($24)
- Precision Ink ($27.50)
- Shimmer Powder Blusher ($24)
- Intense Lipgloss ($20)
- Lipstick ($22)
- Nail Varnish ($14)
- Masquara ($23 and yes, it is really spelled that way!)
My favorite part of this collection is the nail varnishes ($14) because they have a “buffed rubber” finish – nothing I’ve really seen before. (note: no topcoat or else it make the finish glossy). There are 4 new shades – Taint (stone brown), Kink (bottle green), Vice (deep cerise) and Faux Pas (blue violet).
There are 2 new iridescent Pure Pigments ($24) – Zeitgeist (dark shimmer) and Beguile (light shimmer). These are basically a loose shimmery eyeshadow but extremely versatile. You can mix them with water or something like Trish McEvoy’s Finish Line to create a liquid eyeliner and you can even mix them with a clear nail polish for a sheer, iridescent wash of color.
There are two new Intense Iipglosses ($20) in the collection – Façade (grey pink) and Belladonna (deep pink), which are almost like a liquid lipstick. I love the Façade color – it’s almost like a mushroom color with a hint of pink!
The collection is currently available on Sephora.com and in select Sephora stores.

Yay their stuff is soo sexy!
Their products do have a certain sexiness don’t they. Do you like their pigments over MAC pigments?
The packaging sure is sexy
Another line I HAVE to give a shot. I just don’t know what to try first. Any suggestions? Eye products right now preferably.
When I first saw this line I said I got to have it even if it breaks my wallet
The packaking is very stylish
I think I just fell in LOVE, no wait, I know I did. I have got to try these. WOW! WOW WOW WOW
They are very stylish and I also love the packaging as well. I am on the hunt for this…. I think picking is going to be the hardest part, I want them ALL! lol
This is a line I haven’t been able to try yet cause they don’t sale it by me and if I order anything off line like lines like this I like to purchase a big order so I was saving my order for Christmas.
I’m planning a shopping trip next week, I will definitely look for these. Other reviews made them seem more theatrical.
I love the deep and rich colors of this collection.
