Parian Spirit is a must have product. It smells delightful- full of citrus goodness

Parian Spirit Brush Cleaner is the preferred brush cleaner among professional film and television makeup artists. It is an environmentally safe product that thoroughly and gently cleans sable, squirrel and other fine brushes. This unique cleaner dissolves all types of makeup products (powder, liquid, wax-based and adhesive) while conditioning and disinfecting brush hair. No artificial colors or fragrances are added. Parian Spirit is made from citrus spirits and leaves a clean look and smell to the brush. Also Parian Spirit will not damage the paint or wooden handle of a brush. • Parian Spirit is perfect for cleaning makeup and adhesives off the lace of wigs and hairpieces. * CLEANS oil based makeup adhesives (spirit gum, medical, etc.) oil based clays acrylics (after drying) latex (after drying) *CONDITIONS rejuvenates hair after cleaning ~ Parian Spirit Website

If you are someone with a small amount of brushes, make up artist who doesn’t want to carry a billion brushes, or just someone who wants clean brushes quick this is for you. I love how it disinfects the brush, cleans the pigment right off and it dries instantly. You can use this for an inbetween cleaning and a deep clean too. But I personally recommend good old Extra Virgin Olive Oil for deep cleaning. I met the owner at Imats close to a year ago and I have been hooked on this stuff ever since. I recommend getting the larger bottle and then either getting the small spray or buying your own little spray bottle to carry with your makeup kit. I never leave out of town without my Parian Spray. For Locations: http://www.parianspirit.com/main.html For directions on how to use it : Click here Price: Price:$6.00 – $15.00 Pros:

  • Cleans quickly
  • Dries fast
  • Easy to do. Just swipe back and forth in a flat motion. Don’t smash the brush into the paper towel
  • Just gets the job done while disinfecting too
  • Can be used to dissolve glue when depotting. But alcohol is cheaper

  • Harder to locate than other brush cleaners
  • Strong citrus smell, some people don’t like that
  • If you have a hot pink stained on your brush this might not be able to take that out. Deep cleaning brush time for that one!

Overall: One of the must haves in my kit. I won’t leave home without it. It lasts a long time too, I used about one spray bottle in one year. DO NOT SUBMERGE your Brush Ferrules (metal part) in this. The glue will dissolve and ruin your brushes. Just on the brush tips like how you should typically wash your brushes. Disclaimer: Provided by brand as a gift. Review was just made because this is my Monday’s Must Have.
